Strange launches a new take on the virtual tour for 1st Byte

24th June 2008

Strange has produced an innovative virtual tour for 1st Byte, the London-based digital printer.  The virtual tour uses clear illustrations of the inside of the 1st Byte building by leading illustrator Rod Hunt.

Please visit www.1stbyte.co.uk/about_us/vr_tour.php to see the tour in action.

With one of the widest and most-up-to-date ranges of digital printing facilities in the country, tours of the premises play an important role in 1st Byte’s business.  But unlike the 360° shots often used on websites, this virtual tour enables visitors to  see a cutaway 3-D illustration of each floor, with furniture, machinery and people, plus pop-up explanations of key areas, equipment and functions.

Jamie Sergeant, Creative Director of Strange said:  “This way of showcasing a building could have many uses, such as on a company’s intranet to highlight fire exits or to help employees navigate a building.”

Rod Hunt is an established London-based illustrator with a reputation for retro tinged illustrations and detailed, character-filled landscapes. More information is at www.rodhunt.com.
