Strange has been rebooked to produce more issues of FYI, the online monthly magazine for girls. Launched last November to promote the Nivea Visage Young (NVY) beauty range, the highly interactive ezine - www.FYImag.co.uk –has proved so effective that seven more issues have been booked.
Initially set to run for five issues, FYI was designed to promote the NVY beauty routine to the target audience of 15 to 19 year old girls. It has successfully established a conversation with them in an interesting, meaningful and engaging way.
FYI was conceived and promoted by Real Sound Vision Print (RSVP), an alliance between Viacom Brand Solutions, GCap Media and IPC Media and negotiated by Carat Sponsorship.
FYI has also been supported by Strange with entries on social networks, seeding in various forums, banner ads, online PR and monthly newsletters.
Site traffic has not only been growing, it has been returning.
The other objectives of FYI, all of which have been met, were to increase awareness of and sample requests for the NVY beauty range, create interest in and excitement around the range, develop the brand’s personality and build a relationship with the target audience.
Built in Flash, FYI uses different channels, such as podcasts, vodcasts and streaming video, while UGC elements also contribute to the stickiness of the site. Each issue focuses on a theme concerned with new-found independence, such as relationships, leaving home and getting a job, with well known media personalities, such as Tracey Cox, Jo Goode and Lucio regularly contributing to the ezine.
