Strange has launched a new high availability Magento store for Skates using Amazon AWS cloud hosting.
When the leading online retailer of stunt scooters, skates, skateboards and Heelys asked us to re-platform their ecommerce store to Magento we were excited. When we saw the extent of the product range and predicted traffic volumes for Black Friday we were very excited! This meant only one thing: Amazon AWS high availability cloud hosting.
The website launched in time for Black Friday trading and didn’t miss a beat thanks to the great auto-scaling flexibility and rock-solid reliability of AWS and the hard work from our in-house AWS specialist DevOps team. Since launch, performance in SEO visibility and acquisition has grown significantly. And due the Magento feature set, Skates now has far more control of web experience management, inventory management and integration with Amazon and eBay channels.
