Shopify

25 years of commercial website experience applied to Shopify. New builds, Magento replatforms, and the data discipline to make them work.

Shopify that doesn't just look good. Shopify that earns its margin.

Shopify is the default modern e-commerce platform for a reason. Fast time to launch, sensible defaults, a healthy ecosystem, and a roadmap that doesn't ask you to be a software company on the side. What it doesn't give you is the commercial discipline that separates a Shopify store that grows from one that plateaus.

We bring that discipline. CRO, tracking, consent, paid media performance, content, SEO, accessibility and the technical care that most Shopify agencies leave to the merchant. The platform handles the e-commerce. We handle the part that decides whether you actually grow.

When Shopify is the right answer

Shopify fits when:

  • You're launching a new B2C brand or scaling one that's outgrown its current platform.
  • You're replatforming from Magento, BigCommerce, WooCommerce or a custom build that's costing more to maintain than to replace.
  • You want a platform your marketing and ops team can run day-to-day without a queue of dev tickets.
  • You need to integrate with a serious wider stack: ERP, OMS, 3PL, marketing automation, subscription, loyalty.
  • You're at the point where Shopify Plus's enterprise features (B2B, multi-currency, multi-store) become commercially obvious.

We'll tell you honestly when Shopify isn't the right answer. Sometimes the right call is to stay on what you have and fix the parts that are actually broken.

The disciplines we bring

  • Solution architecture, including app selection (most stores we inherit have at least one app that should be removed).
  • Custom theme and section development that's fast and easy for marketing to extend.
  • Performance work: Core Web Vitals, third-party script discipline, image and asset strategy.
  • Tracking, consent and analytics set up properly, including server-side where it earns its keep.
  • CRO programmes: hypothesis-led, properly instrumented, honestly measured.
  • Integration design across ERP, OMS, 3PL, subscription, loyalty and marketing automation.
  • Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA.
  • SEO and content discipline, plus the newer AEO/GEO disciplines for AI Overviews and answer engines.
  • Ongoing care: theme updates, app reviews, platform changes, performance and conversion programmes.

What it looks like in practice

A long-standing client of ours spent eight years on Magento with us, with strong revenue performance and the rock-solid hosting and security to match.

When the right time came to move, we built and launched their new Shopify store, and the relationship continues from there.

The replatform protected the commercial performance the previous build had earned, while opening up the marketing-team-led agility that Shopify is built for.

When clients come to us for Shopify work

  • A new B2C launch where the brief is "ship fast, but build it properly."
  • A Magento store where the cost-to-maintain has tipped the replatform decision.
  • A Shopify store that launched well but has plateaued, and needs senior CRO, tracking and performance attention.
  • An enterprise replatform onto Shopify Plus, with serious integrations and operational requirements.
  • An in-house e-commerce team that wants a senior technical and performance partner alongside them.

Common questions

Is Shopify enterprise-ready? For most use cases, yes. Shopify Plus covers the majority of mid-market and enterprise B2C needs. If you have requirements it genuinely can't meet, we'll tell you, but the bar is higher than most other-platform advocates will admit.

Can you handle the Magento migration without breaking SEO? Yes. URL mapping, structured data, content migration, redirect logic and SEO QA are all part of how we scope a replatform, not optional extras.

Will my marketing team be able to run it day-to-day? That's the standard. We build sections and content models the marketing team owns, not just dev-only configurations.

Do you handle ongoing performance and CRO programmes? Yes. Most of our Shopify relationships run beyond launch into ongoing performance work, including CRO, tracking maintenance, paid media support and content programmes.
